Monster information stolen

monsterDo you remember last week when I posted to my readers not to submit their resume to sites like Monster and CareerBuilder unless they post it anonymously.  If not, here is the link , “Spammers target Job Seekers,”  basically the post was about spammers obtaining information  and spamming the job seekers.  Several days ago hackers actually hacked into Monster’s database and stole user IDs and passwords, e-mail addresses, birth dates, gender, and ethnicity.  A Monster spokesman stated that they posted a warning on the site, I guess they don’t think information theft is that big of deal.

Well, I do, and I am sure you do too.

I personally would not post my resume on Monster, and I recommend that you do not either.
